Collectanea* is an online literary magazine, published by New York Collective for the Arts, dedicated to creating a forum where both emerging and veteran writers can share their work. Our hope is that here they will find support among those who possess an appreciation for the written word in its many forms and genres. We publish what we enjoy reading and hope that in the end, you will love it as much as we do. Our aim is to be literary, but unpretentious; talented, but modest; unique, but familiar. We are not trying to change the world, just brighten a small community, but if we do make a difference in the process of publishing great work . . . that's quite all right by us.
Collectanea* is published tri-annually following the seasons: Winter, Summer, and Fall as an online magazine and in limited edition PDF or audio format. Each issue features both fiction and nonfiction, digital works, interviews with artists who work with other media and the literary and artistic forces that inspire them, and an author interview focusing on the craft of writing. Coinciding with each publication, we will hold a reading featuring the selected writers and works. Collectanea* premieres online in early 2006, with subsequent issues and events to follow.
